This week, I officially submitted my resignation to the company.
There are many reasons behind my decision, but the one that matters most to me is this: if I continue working at the current company, it will only push me further down the path of being a frontend ‘slicer,’ which will take me farther away from my goals.
One of my mid-term goals for the coming years is to become an independent software engineer.
In modern software development, this role involves the work of product managers, UI designers, and both frontend and backend engineers.
I don’t want to continue doing repetitive and shallow frontend work at my current company.
I am willing to give up several months of salary to improve myself, in exchange for greater future rewards and bigger possibilities in my life.
I will no longer drift with the tide, adapting to the broader environment of society. Instead, I will choose a smaller environment that suits my growth and development.
